iQOO has unveiled its latest addition to the Z-series lineup, the iQOO Z9 Turbo, in the Chinese market. Now iQOO is gearing up to introduce the Turbo variant globally under a different name. Exclusive information obtained by 91mobiles through industry sources reveals that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will make its global debut as the iQOO 12 Lite. The upcoming iQOO 12 Lite boasts an impressive features like a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm, a 50MP primary snsor and a massive 6000 mAh battery. Additionally, the device offers IP64 certification, ensuring protection against dust and water splashes.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo was launched in China with a starting price of RMB 1999 (approximately Rs. 23,500) for the base variant, and the top-end 16GB/512GB model is priced at RMB 2599 (around Rs. 29,900) and is available in Dark Night, Mountain Green and Starburst White (translated from Chinese) shades. Since the iQOO Z9-Turbo has already been unveiled, we have access to its complete specifications. The global pricing of the iQOO 12 Lite is expected to be similar to the Chinese pricing of the Z9 Turbo, which starts at around Rs. 23,500 and goes up to approximately Rs. 29,900 for the top-end variant.

The iQOO 12 Lite is expected to make its global debut in the third quarter of 2024, which falls between July and September. However, it is unclear at this point whether the global markets include India or not.

The iQOO Z9-Turbo boasts an impressive 6.78-inch 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260×2800 pixels and offers an peak brightness of up to 4500 nits and a responsive 480Hz touch sampling rate. This display also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision and  DC Dimming technology for enhanced viewing comfort.

Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 3 chipset, which is an octa-core processor paired with an Adreno GPU. In terms of memory and storage, the iQOO Z9-Turbo comes with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Additionally, the device runs on the latest Android 14 operating system based on iQOO’s proprietary OriginOS 4 user interface.

In the camera department, the iQoo Z9-Turbo shines with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16MP front-facing camera.

For powering the device,  the iQOO-Z9 Turbo packs a massive 6000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Additionally, the iQoo Z9-Turbo incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor for added security and convenience. It also boasts an IP64 rating, making it resistant to dust and splash damage, stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience, and a USB Type-C port. Connectivity-wise, the iQOO Z9-Turbo supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, and NFC, ensuring seamless connectivity in various scenarios.
