Motorola has just launched its latest budget-range smartphone, the Moto G64 5G, in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 14,999. It is the first handset to debut in India with a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset. The phone boasts a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen, a 6000 mAh battery, a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation and dolby atmos support. Additionally, the phone also supports up to 12GB of RAM, including 12GB of virtual RAM.
Moto G64 5G: Price and Offers
The smartphone is available in Ice Lilac, Mint Green, and Pearl Blue colour options and is offered in two storage configuration 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB. The base variant with 8GB RAM with 128GB of Storage is priced at Rs. 14,999 where as the higher variant with 12GB RAM and 256Gb of Storage will costs at Rs. 16,999. The device will go on sale starting from April 23, 12 PM, and can be purchased through Motorola’s website, Flipkart, and other leading retail stores.
Additionally, Motorola is offering several additional discounts and offers with the new smartphone. Customers can avail of a Rs. 1,000 instant bank discount on HDFC Bank cards, or a Rs. 1,100 instant discount on EMI transactions using HDFC Bank debit and credit cards. Additionally, there is an option for a Rs. 1,000 additional exchange value bump-up on Flipkart. Motorola is also providing a No Cost EMI offer on HDFC Credit/Debit Card for up to 6 months, with monthly installments starting at Rs. 2,317.
Moto G64 5G: Specifications
The Moto G64 5G features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate which company claims that the refresh rate can adjust automatically based on the type of content on the screen for a better viewing experience and battery saving. Additionally, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The phone measures 161.56 x 73.82 x 8.89mm and weighs around 192g.
Under the hood, the Moto G64 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset with a 2.5 GHz octa-core CPU paired with IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. It comes in two RAM and storage variants – 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. The phone runs Android 14 and Motorola has promised 3 years of security updates and an upgrade to Android 15.
In terms of cameras, the Moto G64 5G has a dual rear camera setup – a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Quad-Pixel Technology for smooth shots, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 118-degree field of view, the secondary camera also supports macro and depth photography. For selfies, the phone has a 16 MP f/2.4 front-facing camera.
The device packs a 6000mAh battery with 33W charging support. Additionally the device features, stereo speakers, two microphones, a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for 14 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.3, hybrid dual SIM, IP52 water-repellent design, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer and Google Assistant for voice control.
