Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up to unveil a special edition of its flagship smartphone, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G World Champion Edition, in India on April 30, 2024. The upcoming World Champion Edition will boast a design inspired by the Argentina Football Association (AFA) featuring a dual-tone design on the back glass, with blue and white stripes reminiscent of the jersey and logo of the Argentine national football team. The launch marks a collaborative effort between Xiaomi and AFA, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Xiaomi’s presence in the Indian market.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 series, including the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, in India earlier this year. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G boasts impressive features such as a full-HD+ AMOLED display, Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system, a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra SoC, a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, and a triple rear camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary sensor. At its launch, the device was available in three color options and three RAM and storage configurations.

Xiaomi India took to (formerly Twitter) to announce the upcoming launch of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G World Champions Edition on April 30, 2024. The post included a teaser image showcasing the outline of the phone’s back panel, hinting at a unique design for this special edition. However, ahead of the launch, tech enthusiast Ishan Agarwal has shared a few images, providing a sneak peek into the design of this special edition smartphone. 

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G World Champion Edition: Price & Specification (Expected)

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus has been launched in India with three storage variants. The base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 31,999. The mid-tier variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs 33,999. For those seeking more storage, the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will retail at Rs 35,999. As is typical with special edition models, the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G World Champion Edition is likely to offer higher storage configurations and come with slightly premium pricing compared to the standard version. However, the core specifications of the device are anticipated to remain unchanged.

Specifications: The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G World Champion Edition will likely retain the key features of the regular model, including a 6.67-inch curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra (4nm) chipset, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

For optics, the device is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup that includes a 200MP ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera, complemented by a 16MP front-facing camera. Powering a device is a robust 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging support. Notable features encompass NFC, a large 4,000mm² vapor chamber cooling system, dual stereo speakers, and an IR blaster. Durability is ensured with Gorilla Glass Victus and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
